   Simon Yates strikes early and solos to victory on the steep Alpe di Mera. João Almeida finishes in second and Egan Bernal in third. The Colombian retains the maglia rosa.

2. Giro 2021: Sagan keeps maglia ciclamino

   Peter Sagan is almost there. After winning the Tour de France's green jersey seven times, he is within touching distance of taking home the Giro's ciclamen jersey.

4. Giro 2021 Route stage 19: Abbiategrasso - Alpe di Mera

   Friday 28 May - At 166 kilometres, the riders travel from Abbiategrasso to Alpe di Mera on the Giro's 19th day of action. It will be the first ever Giro mountain top finish at the 9.7 kilometres climb at 9% near the Swiss border.

5. Giro 2021 Favourites stage 19: Double digit denouement
