   Saturday 3 October - The Giro d'Italia kicks off on Sicily with an ITT of 15 kilometres. Expect high speeds, as the route runs mostly downhill on long and straight roads.

2. Giro 2020 Favourites stage 1: First fight for pink

   World Champion Filippo Ganna could send the Italians into ecstasies by winning the ITT on day one. The first maglia rosa would be a big bonus.
