    At 181 kilometres, stage 4 in the Giro takes in 50 kilometres of climbing. Jan Polanc brings an early break home on the 18 kilometres closing climb on Mount Etna. Bob Jungels is the new leader in the Giro.

  2. Giro 2017 Route stage 4: Cefalù - Mount Etna

    Tuesday, 9 May 2017 – The 4th stage in the 2017 Giro d'Italia is played out on Sicilian soil. At 181 kilometres, the route leads from Cefalù to Rifugio Sapienza, located at an elevation of 1,892 metres on the flanks of Mount Etna.
