   Travelling from Reggio Emilia to Tortona, the 13th stage is the flattest of this Giro d'Italia. In the ensuing bunch sprint Gaviria outperforms Sam Bennett and Jasper Stuyven. Tom Dumoulin finishes safely in the peloton to retain in the overall lead.

   Friday, 19 May 2017 – At 167 kilometres, the route of stage 13 in the Giro d'Italia travels from Reggio Emilia to Tortona. The route is as flat as can be. So we can expect a smiling sprinter being kissed by podium girls in the afternoon.
