Title holder: Remco Evenepoel
Record holder: Edwig Van Hooydonck (4 wins)
The riders tackle the Alsemberg early on and, after another six climbs in the run-in, they head onto the local circuit, which is covered three times in full.
The lap is 19.8 kilometres long and features four climbs: the Hertstraat, Moskesstraat, Holstheide and the S-Bend in Overijsse. In the slideshow below this article you can find the technical details, including maps, of all the climbs.
The S-Bend lies 200 metres from the finish. It is an uphill drag of 1,300 metres at 4.2%, after which the road continues to rise slightly all the way to the line.
Last year’s Brabantse Pijl turned into a fascinating duel between Belgium’s top riders, Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert. After an acceleration from the former with around 50 kilometres to go, the pair broke clear of the rest of the field. Joe Blackmore managed to latch on but was dropped in the final lap, after which Evenepoel bested Van Aert in the sprint.
