Race report
The day's break is made up of Diogo Narciso, Noah Hobbs, Enzo Leijnse, João Siva, Tomas Contté, Bruno Silva, Noah Campos, Viacheslav Ivanov and José Miguel Moreira. They open up a 2-minute gap.

As the gap falls under a minute, Hugo Nunes bridges across. In the final 30 kilometres, he shakes off his remaining companions — Leijnse, Ivanov, Contti, Narciso and Moreira — and rides clear on a solo bid.

That move lasts no more than 6 kilometres before the peloton is back together, but in the meantime Nunes pockets 6 seconds in the Golden Kilometre, while both Jan Tratnik and Juan Ayuso pick up 3 seconds.

In the streets of Tavira it is Paul Magnier who storms to a commanding victory ahead of Jordi Meeus and Pavel Bittner.
