The team set off from the Piazza Dante in Grosseto. The track is extremely fast, as it’s flat and features mostly straight roads.
Last year’s Giro Rosa also began with a TTT. Canyon-SRAM stormed to victory on the hilly course ahead of Bigla and CCC Liv. Eventual GC winner Annemiek van Vleuten lost almost 1 minute with her Mitchelton-Scott team mates.
The first squad rolls down the starting ramp at 14.00 local time (CEST).
