On Saturday 5 July 2025, the 112th edition of the Tour de France sets off from the Hauts-de-France region in the north of the country. So, after two foreign starts – in Bilbao and Florence -, Le Grand Départ will be back on home soil. Lille is the starting and finishing venue of the 1st stage, which is expected to come down to a bunch sprint. Same goes for stage 3 – finish in Dunkirk -, while the 2nd stage will be a lumpy race to Boulogne-sur-Mer. The 2025 edition of the world’s biggest race ends on Sunday 27 July.
A finish at the Mûr de Bretagne is rumoured to be on the cards at the end of the first week. The edition of next year will be the 112th version of the Tour de France.
