Tour Colombia 2020 Route stage 2: Paipa – Duitama

Tour Colombia 2020 Route 2nd stageWednesday 12 February - At 152.4 kilometres, the 2nd stage on the Tour Colombia is a dream come true for fast men. Although the race takes place at an elevation of 2,500 metres, the route is as flat as it gets.

The start in Paipa is just 15 kilometres west of the finish line in Duitama. The route features four local laps, while the lowest points lies at 2,495 metres and the highest point at 2,510 metres. So the elevation gain is next to nothing.

Last year’s Tour Colombia saw two sprint finishes, with Álvaro Hodeg and Sebastián Molano taking the spoils.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while three intermediate sprints (after each lap) come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds each.
