Race report
Chapman and Faulkner jump off the front on the Passo Bordala. Faulkner pushes on alone and reaches the summit 2 minutes ahead of the GC favourites.
Van Vleuten rejoins the lone leader on the second climb to leave her behind. Cavalli is close behind during most of the climb, but she is distanced in the last kilometres. García reaches the summit more than 2 minutes after the maglia rosa.
Van Vleuten hits the deck on descent, but she wins the stage anyway.
