The first 65 kilometres are as flat as can be. The route then starts to ascend ever so slightly and after the riders move through Lavone the gradients go out to 3 to 4%.
The Passo Maniva begins for real with 9.7 kilometres to go. This is the official part of the climb and it comes with an average gradient of 7.8%. But if you take Lavone as the start of the climb, the Manica totals 23.2 kilometres and the average gradient sits at 5.2%.
The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
