With 13.2 kilometres remaining the riders hit Norton Summit, a 5.8 kilometres climb at 5%. After the sprint for KOM points the route continues on a small plateau before another uphill section on Woods Hill Road leads to a 3.3 kilometres (gentle) descent into Uraidla.

Two intermediate sprints – at kilometre 35.8 and at kilometre 70.6 – come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds each, while the first three riders on the line take time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
