Tour Colombia 2019 Route stage 4: Medellín - Medellín

Tour Colombia 2019: The Route stage 4Friday 15 February - Tour Colombia includes a circuit race in Medellín as its 4th stage. The riders tackle six laps and the route amounts to 144 kilometres.

Just before the halfway point in each round the riders tackle a nasty climb of 1.3 kilometres at 6.6% and the last few hundred metres to the line are slightly uphill. But the rest of the route is far from flat either, so it will be a demanding race with a sprint of a reduced peloton the most likely outcome.

Start and finish are near the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, home to some of the most popular football teams of Colombia – Atlético Nacional and Independiente Medellín.

The first three riders on the line win time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while three intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
