Race report
A group of 19 riders opens up a gap of roughly 1 minute before they are reeled in with 80 kilometres remaining. Moments later a new break takes shape with Buchmann, Janssens, Fortunato, Velasco, Oliveira, Serrano, Sheffield, Ghrimay, Covi, Polanc, Trentin, Clarke, Kämna, Wandahl, De Tier, Oldani, Navarro, and Christian. Their lead extends to more than 3 minutes.

The gap falls to 2 minutes on the finish climb, while Kämna goes solo in the last 3.5 kilometres. Covi and Fortunato are chasing.
