Paris-Nice 2017: Greipel outsprints Démare and Groenewegen, Alaphilippe still leader
The route of stage 5 in Paris-Nice amounts to almost 200 kilometres. The race boils down to a bunch sprint in Bourg de Péage with Andre Greipel fastest. The German bests Démare and Groenewegen on the line, while Julian Alaphilippe retains in the overall lead. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
It doesn’t take long for a break to sneak away. Axel Domont, Natnael Berhane, Pierre-Luc Perichon, Lilian Calmejane, Federico Zurlo and Remy di Gregorio race to a maximum lead of more than 7 minutes.
With 12 kms left the escapees are reeled in.
The ensuing sprint is won by André Greipel. Relatively easy, while Démare and Groenewegen battle it out for second place with the Frenchman slightly faster.
