The first 30 kilometres are also flat. Then the route continues on more undulating terrain to the foot of the first climb. The Forcella di Pala Barzana is 6.7 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 6.6%. The summit is situated just before the halfway mark of the race.
After the descent the route is flat for 20 kilometres before the ascent to Clauzetto appears. It is a little shorter and not as steep as the first climb, but still averaging at almost 6%. The riders plunge down towards the Tagliamanto river and continue on the flat for the last 30 kilometres.
The race is expected to finish around 15.40 local time.
