Race report
Following a lot of movement during the stage Romy Kasper and Anna Plichta are the first to open up a proper gap with 30 kilometres left. Yet, the duo is brought back on the only intermediate climb of the day.
Aude Biannic goes solo inside the last 10 kilometres. She is brought back under the flamme rouge before Marianne Vos accelerates on the cobbled climb to the line. The Dutchwoman takes her fourth win in this Giro Rosa, while her compatriot Annemiek van Vleuten seals the GC victory. World Champion Anna van der Breggen and Amanda Spratt round out the podium.
