Race report
Despite plenty of attempts the race remains together after 61 kilometres. Then pink jersey Annemiek van Vleuten goes alone on the Forcella di Pala Barzana climb. She is brought back in the valley by a reduced peloton.
With almost 40 kilometres remaining Pauliena Rooijackers, Sofie De Vuyst, Soraya Paladin, Lizzy Banks, Leah Thomas, Shara Gillow, Małgorzata Jasińska, Ruth Winder, Alice Marcia Arzuffi and Kathrin Hammes open up a gap of 2 minutes.
Banks strikes with 10 kilometres to go and solos to victory. Her team-mate Leah Thomas sprints to second place, while the GC remains largely unchanged, so Annemiek van Vleuten still leads 4 minutes ahead of Anna van der Breggen.
