It’s higly unlikely stage 8 will be responsible for shifts in the overall standings. Following two mountain stages and the hilly ITT the course is flat, except for a 3rd category hill halfway, where the Queens of the Mountains can be in business.
The only intermediate sprint is scheduled after 18.4 kilometres and comes with time bonuses at 3, 2 and 1 seconds, while bonuses at the line are 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
Stage 8 of the 2016 Giro Rosa leaves at 12:15, while the race is expected to finish around 14:45 – both are local times.
