Stage 4 is set not too far from the place where Tour of Lombardy is played out at the end of each season.
The backdrop of today’s race is Lago d’Iseo. Shortly after the start the women face a 4.65 kilometres climb at 3.4%. At the top they are at an elevation and they stay at this altitude for about 30 kilometres before a 2.9 kilometres climb takes them 100 metres higher. This means the climb’s gradient is once again 3.4%.
Then a drop brings the women to almost 200 metres AMSL and at this altitude they race around the lake.
