Giro Rosa 2016 Route stage 3: Montagnana – Lendinara
Monday, July 4, 2016 - At 120 kilometres, stage 3 in the Giro Rosa leads from Montagnana to Lendinara. The course is extremey flat.
Before leaving Montagnana the women can take a look at the beautiful city walls. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the ramparts are among the best preserved in Italy.
From head to tail the race is played out in the Veneto region. Funny fact is Domenico Montagnana was born in arrival place Lendinara. The man who brings today’s departure and arrival place together in one person, was a famous violin maker who died in 1750, yet his instruments are still played by the best musicians in the world.
Last year, stage 3 in the Giro Rosa was won by Lucinda Brand.
At the line in Lendinara times bonuses at 10, 6 and 4 seconds lay waiting, while the only intermediate sprint comes with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
Stage 3 in the 2016 Giro Rosa 2016 leaves at 12.15 uur and the stage is expected to finish at around 15.15 – both local times.
