World Cycling Championships 2018 Innsbruck, Austria: Route TTT - women

World Cycling Championships 2018 TTT for womenSunday, 23 september 2018 - The team time trial for women at the Worlds in Innsbruck is played out on a 53.8 kilometres course. Most of it is going slightly down and as the route features hardly any bends it should be a fast race.

The first kilometre is a false flat up. But after this ‘false start’ the teams will pick up the pace as the rest of the route comes mainly down a false flat- although slightly. The start ramp is located at 702 metres above sea level, the first climb goes to 724 metres, while the finish lies at 570 metres. So that’s an average descent of 0.3%. A few minor false flat sections pointing upwards and hardly any bends underway – this route is perfect to speed up the tempo.

The finish is at the Rennweg in Innsbruck.
