Tour de Romandie 2021 Route stage 3: Estavayer - Estavayer

Tour de Romandie 2021 RouteFriday 30 April - The 3rd stage on the Tour de Romandie is a circuit race in and around Estavayer. The hilly route adds up to 168.7 kilometres.

Estavayer-le-Lac is situated on the south-east bank of Lake Neuchâtel. Dating back to prehistoric times, the fortified town is now a popular summer destination. With its yachting marina it is a paradise for water sports aficionados.

Cycling aficionados will have to dig deep for the last Tour de Romandie finish in Estavayer. Actually, it was more than 50 years that André Darrigade won from the breakaway – namely, in 1960.

The race begins with a 65 kilometres loop, featuring one long climb, before a circuit of approximately 35 kilometres rounds out the route.

Two short and sharp climbs pep up the circuit – the last one is 2.5 kilometres long and averages 7.7% -, while the finale is a descent of 8.8 kilometres to the line in Estavayer-le-Lac.
