Giro 2014: Stage 7 contains 2 tough cols
Stage 7 in the 2014 Giro is a mainly flat stage but with 2 tough climbs. It could be a battle between the breakaway and the sprint trains with the last climb coming 40 kilometres from the finish. (Slideshow route/profile)
Stage 7 contains 2 hills, the first, Valico do Arcinazzo comes fater 29.4 kilometres and is located at an altitude of 1.007 metres. It’s a long, slow climb but not too difficult.
The second climb, Valico dello Somma, is crested 40 kilometres from the finish line. The climb is 7 kilometres long and could potentially help a breakaway as there are also 3 short climbs following the descent of Valico dello Somma.
