Giro 2014: Italian ‘mountains’ in stage 4
Stage 4 in the 2014 Giro is the first one on Italian soil. An easy ride taking the riders on a 121 kilometre spin from Giovinazzo to Bari. (Slideshow route/profile)
In terms of terrain, stage 4 is the easiest of the race. Just 121 kilometres long and no categorized climbs. Highest point is 112 metres.
Stages like these are rare in the 2014 Giro, expect a slow day with a fast sprint.
