Magnus Cort, Julius van den Berg and Jonas Rickaert open up a gap before Alexis Gougeard rejoins them. The four race to a maximum lead of almost 5 minutes.
Rickaert punctures 6 kms before the line when the gap is still 1.30 and in the ensuing sprint Cort powers to the win. Van den Berg, Dutch National Champion Under–23, finishes in second and Gougeard in third.
With the hills of Amstel Gold Race on tomorrow’s menu, Matej Mohoric is still the overall leader.
