Race report
Shortly after the start Nick van der Lijke, Conor Dunne, Lasse Norman Hansen, Nick Dougall and Antoine Duchesne go clear to race to a maximum lead of more than 6 minutes. With 25 kms to go the break is reeled in.

Moments before the last climb, with 25 kms remaining, leader Dennis hits the deck and he is forced to chase. He is almost 2 minutes in arrears.

A lot of attacks on the ensuing climb and Bakelants, Costa and Caruso are first to crest. They dig deep to widen the gap to half a minute, but they are caught with 5 kms left.

In the ensuing sprint Philippe Gilbert powers to the win, while Stefan Küng takes the leaders jersey from his unfortunate team mate Dennis.
