In his farewell 2016-season Fabian Cancellara took the opening ITT in last year’s Tour de Suisse 1 second ahead of Jürgen Roelandts. That route ran on a 6.4 kilometres route which was slightly undulating. Just like today’s course.
Straight from the gun the can and should go full gas. On a straight road the route goes slightly downhill for 1 kilometre before a 3.5 kilometres section takes in flat and false flat. The last 1.5 kilometres slight gently down also, albeit a sharp bend is bound to break the pace of the riders.
Live report 1st stage. The arrival of the last rider is to be expected around 17:30 (local time).
