Initially the route goes false flat downhill and then, after 30 kilometres, the riders enter more lumpy terrain. This lasts until kilometre 110, when they move through Fermo.
The race serves two different circuits in the last 75 kilometres. First one large lap (30.4 kilometres) and then four laps of 11.2 kilometres. The latter features an uphill section of 2 kilometres at 4% approximately 9 kilometres before the home straight.
The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprint comes with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
