The penultimate stage of the 2013 Eneco Tour departed from Riemst and headed to Aywaille/La Redoute. This time around riders are off to the Netherlands. Arrival town Sittard-Geleen hosted the 2013 Eneco Tour during a hilly 13.5-kilometre individual time trial – won by Sylvain Chavanel.
After a local loop in Riemst the bunch is back again at the start and then the riders head to the hills in the south of the Netherlands. A row of famous Amstel Gold Race climbs lay waiting, amongst them Camerig, Eyserbosweg, Fromberg and Gulperberg. Yes they are short, but sure they are steep (17.1%).
Thrice a local circuit of a little over 20 kilometres comprises the finale, featuring climbs like Kollenberg, Schatsberg and Windraak. The finish is 3.8 kilometres after the last one in the center of Sittard-Geleen.
