Tour of Flanders 2020 - virtual: Route
The virtual Tour of Flanders is a shortened version of the real deal. The route is merely 32 kilometres. So the race comes down to the finale three climbs: Kruisberg/Hotond, Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg.
The virtual route begins in Ronse, which is shortly after the Taaienberg on the actual route. The riders head for the Kruisberg/Hotond, which is climb of 2,500 metres with an average gradient of 5%.
Following 10 kilometres on the flat the riders tackle the Oude Kwaremont. In real life this is a cobbled climb of 2,200 metres at 4%, but the pavé does not have an impact in the virtual world. Up next is the Paterberg – only 360 metres long, but definitely a killer with its average gradient of 12.9% and steepest ramp of 20.3%.
The last 13.2 kilometres of the ‘Ronde’ are played out on the flat.
Take a look at the results and the start list of the virtual Tour of Flanders.
