Tour de Suisse 2020 - virtual: Imperious Küng solos to victory

Stefan Küng attacks early on in the 2nd stage of The Digital Swiss 5 - or, the virtual Tour de Suisse. The Swiss rider solo along on the 46 kilometres course to win 47 seconds ahead of Filippo Ganna with Michael Matthews in third. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Benjamin Thomas attacks early on, but Stefan Küng takes over. Michael Matthews and Greg Van Avermaet sit in second and third for a while until Filippo Ganna rejoins them. The Italian leaves the two behind and head for Küng. Yet, without any success.

Küng is flying, extending and extending his lead. He wins the race 47 seconds ahead of Ganna, while Matthews gets the better of Van Avermaet in the dying metres, after virtually having been riding shoulder to shoulder with the Olympic Champion from start to finish.
