Tirreno-Adriatico 2015 Route stage 7: ITT in San Benedetto del Tronto

Tirreno-Adriatico 2015 stage 7Tuesday, March 17, 2015 – The Tirreno-Adriatico says goodbye with an individual time trial in San Benedetto del Tronto. The stage is almost a copy of last year’s race against the clock.

‘Almost’, since the turning point is 450 metres further down the coastal road, so the race totals 900 metres more than last year’s. Apart from that it’s the same. Parallel to the sea the riders race 5 kilometres one way and after a U-turn they to go back in the opposite direction.

The check-point is exactly halfway.

Last year saw Adriano Malori claim the individual time trial in 10’13”, besting Fabian Cancellara, Tony Martin, Bradley Wiggins and Tom Dumoulin. Expect the 2015 winner to race in one more minute from start to finish since the route is 900 metres longer.
