Giro 2022 Route stage 3: Kaposvár – Balatonfüred

Giro d'Italia 2022Sunday 8 May - At 201 kilometres, the 3rd stage of the 2022 Giro d'Italia runs from Kaposvár to Balatonfüred. A bunch sprint is next to certain.

In last year’s Giro, Caleb Ewan won two sprint stages before he pulled out on stage 8. Winning four stages, Arnaud Démare was the fastest finisher on the 2020 edition, while Pascal Ackermann and Caleb Ewan were the most successful sprinters on the 2019 Giro. Both took victory twice.

The 3rd stage of the Giro d’Italia runs mostly along the shores of Lake Balaton. The race is not entirely flat, but the inclinations should not worry fast men – mainly false flat and a minor climb inside the last 15 kilometres. So the route is tailor-made for a fast finishers showdown.
