Race report
Samuele Rivi and Umberto Marengo attack from the gun, while Simon Pellaud tracks them down. The trio opens up a gap of more than 7 minutes.
The main group reels in the attackers with 7 kilometres remaining.
Edoardo Affini jumps off the front on the home straight before Giacomo Nizzolo tracks him down. After a brief moment in his slipstream, the Italian kicks past his compatriot to power to victory.
Egan Bernal stays in the overall race lead.
