Giro 2015: Stage 2 Favourites - For the sprinters
The 2nd stage in the 2015 Giro leads from Albenga to Genoa. Mainly flat, so this should be for the sprinters. Who are the main contenders? (Slideshow route/profile)
Last year Nacer Bouhanni was the best sprinter in the Giro, winning three stages. But he will not participate in 2014 as his team Cofidis didn’t receice a wild card. Two time stage winner in 2014 Marcel Kittel will not be at the start either. That leaves only Luka Mezgec as a sprinter who won a stage in last year’s Giro.
Other fast men at the start are Elia Viviani, Giacomo Nizzolo, Sacha Modolo, Fabio Felline, Matteo Pelucchi, André Greipel, Michael Matthews, Juan José Lobato, Tom Boonen and Moreno Hofland.
