Brabantse Pijl 2024: Route

Brabantse Pijl 2024Wednesday 10 April - The Brabantse Pijl - or, La Flèche Brabançonne - includes an elevation gain of 1,900 metres on a route of almost 200 kilometres. No long climbs, it is the sheer repetion of short ramps that will wear the riders out. After a race with 22, sometimes cobbled, climbs the home straight is a false flat drag.

The 120 kilometres run-up to the circuit features six climbs, just like last year. Then it goes on via the Hertstraat, Moskesstraat, Holstheide and S-Bocht to the first passage on the line, just like last year.

The circuit is shorter this time though, as the Hagaard is taken out. What remains is a lap of 20 kilometres with aforementioned climbs – Hertstraat, Moskesstraat, Holstheide, S-Bocht – before the last kilometre rises at almost 2% to the line.

Check underneath slideshow for details on the climbs and the scheduled times.

Tord Gudmestad, Rémi Cavagna, Dorian Godon, Ben Healy, Andreas Kron and Lucas Eriksson were leading the race last year when the final lap bell rang. The sound inspired Cavagna to go alone, while Healy and Godon tracked him down on the (now absent) Hagaard. The two continued together on the Hertstraat before Healy didn’t even try to sprint and gifted Godon the win on the Brusselsesteenweg in Overijsse.
