The gradient is far from excruciating, around 3%, but it’s plain to see that it will effect the sprint. Timing is going to be a big thing in Molina de Aragón. Possibly, a late attack could mess things up for the sprinters.
Throughout the day, the riders traverse the Mesata Central – or, Inner Plateau – of Spain. The route undulates between 800 and 1,000 metres above sea level.
