Vuelta 2021 Favourites stage 1: Roglic for first red jersey

Last year, Roglic was defending his title also when he won the 1st stage to the Arrate Sanctuary. He added three more stage wins before celebrating his second consecutive GC triumph at La Vuelta in Madrid.

The ITT start is perfect for the Slovene to begin this edition in a similar vein. The 7.1 kilometres route serves a three-staged climb to the Castle of Burgos before dropping down to the flat second half.
