Vuelta 2020: Withdrawals

The 75th edition of La Vuelta set off from Irún with 176 contestants and 34 of them didn't reach the finish in Madrid. Among them prominent riders such as Daniel Felipe Martínez, Tom Dumoulin, Thibaut Pinot and Davide Formolo.

As early as the first day of action three riders were forced to pull out of La Vuelta.

At the 2019 Vuelta 23 of the 176 riders did not reach the finish in Madrid. Among them big names such as Steven Kruijswijk, Rigoberto Uran an Davide Formolo.

    Why are there 2 Tours taking place at the same time ? Couldn’t the Vuelta have taken place at least a week later ?
