Last year’s Giro featured a lumpy time trial of 34.8 kilometres. Primoz Roglic turned out on top, while Hugh Carthy lost 1.30 minutes (8th place) and Richard Carapaz 1.55 minutes (11th place). Dan Martin and Enric Mas did not participate.
