Race report
Once the flag is dropped Nathan Brown, Mark Christian, Christopher Juul-Jensen, Silvan Dillier, Nans Peters and Paul Ouselin go clear. The six race to a lead of more than 6 minutes.

On the early slopes of the Saanenmöser Browns accelerates when the gap is down to 1 minute. All attackers bounce back, except for Ourselin, before Peters and Juul-Jensen jump clear. Peters is first to crest, but Juul-Jensen tracks him down on descent. The peloton is close behind.

Juul-Jensen goes alone and manages to hold-off the charging peloton in the last kilometres. Küng retains the leader on GC.
