Race report
Three riders go clear to form the breakaway. Calvin Watson, Perrig Quéméneur and Fillippo Zaccanti race to a lead of 3 minutes before the peloton takes them on a leash. With 55 kms to go Michael Albassini joins the breakaway.

27 kms before the line the break is reeled in. A moment later Stefan Küng pockets 3 seconds with an intermediate sprint.

On the small climb to Kalchrain Bora-Hansgrohe ups the pace and John Degenkolb and Alexander Kristoff drop off the back.

Dillier strikes with 12 kms to go and Richeze, Konrad, Stuyven, Goncalves, Rojas and Koren join him before they are brought back 5 kms before the line.

Michael Matthews goes early, which forces Fernando Gaviria to open up his sprint with 300 metres out. Peter Sagan overhauls him to power to his 16th stage win in the Tour de Suisse. Nathan Haas puts on a strong effort to finish in third.

Thanks to the 3 bonus seconds Stefan Küng cements his overall lead.
