Race report
Gijs Van Hoecke, Davide Villella, Alessandro Tonelli, Manuele Boaro, Samuele Rivi and Andrea Garosio establish the breakaway virtually from the gun. The six race to a maximum lead of 7 minutes.

Garosio can’t follow the pace in the lead group with 35 kilometres to go, while Rivi and Boaro head out together inside the last 15 kilometres before Boaro goes alone a little later.

The Boaro-show is over in the final kilometres and the race boils down to a bunch sprint.

Following a perfect lead-out by his team-mates, Arnaud Démare outsprints Caleb Ewan and Wout Van Aert.
