Race report
What’s new? Breakaway buddies Frapporti, Maestri and Cima jump clear once the flag is dropped. They race to a lead of more than 6 minutes before the peloton takes them on a leash. The breakaway is reeled in with 25 kilometres out.

Pascal Ackermann opens the sprint, basically leading out Caleb Ewan. The Australian comes around in the head wind to power to victory. Arnaud Démare lacks the power for a final jump and finishes second, while Ackermann fades to third place.
