Giro d’Italia 2016 Favourites stage 15: Roglic again?

Stage 15 in the Giro d'Italia 2016 is an uphill endeavour. Totalling at 10.8 kilometres, the first 1.8 kilometres are a false flat while the rest of the race goes steep uphill. Primoz Roglic again? (Slideshow route/profile)

Looking at the height profile, most ITT specialists will be grueling, but for Primoz Roglic it’s a different story. The former ski jumper found himself this Giro as a brilliant time trialist, yet he is a good climber also, which showed in the hilly time trial last Sunday when he powered to victory.

In 2013 Vincenzo Nibali took the mountain ITT in the Giro d’Italia. That course was twice as long and he put 1’25” and 1’26” into this year’s rivals Majka and Uran. That said, Roglic, Zakarin, Kruiswij, Valverde and Chaves were not at the start back then.
