Dubai Tour 2015 Route stage 2: Marine Club - Palm Jumeirah
Thursday, February 5, 2015 - Stage 2 offers 187 kilometres of racing, but as the crow flies start and finish are less than 1 kilometre apart.
Like yesterday, the riders start at the luxurious Marina Dubai International Marine Club. They cruise through town in northern direction until at some point the buildings stop and they are surrounded by dry wasteland.
Back in the city, the finale will see some twisting and turning (that is, by Dubai concepts), but Mark Cavendish and his fast colleagues do not need to worry. Once again it is sprinter’s alert in stage 2, just like last year when Kittel won at Palm Jumeirah.
The first three riders will receive 10, 6 and 4 bonus-seconds, while the two intermediate sprints have 3, 2 and 1 second on offer.
The finish is expected around 15:30 local time.
