Edition 60 of the Tour of the Basque Country opens with a trying ITT in Bilbao on Monday 5 April, while the race concludes on Saturday 10 April with a mountain top finish near the Sanctuary of Arrate. Ion Izagirre won his home race in 2019. The Basque rider outgunned Dan Martin and Emanuel Buchmann on GC. The 2020 edition was postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
