Tour of Lombardy 2013: Rodriguez wins
The 2013 Tour of Lombardy is a rainy expedition. It all happens on the last climb, to Villa Vergano. On the steepest part (15%) Joaquim Rodríguez escapes. He rounds the summit with a 0’16” advantage to Daniel Martin, Alejandro Valverde and Rafal Majka. In the descent he is not endangered. The Spaniard wins Il Lombardia for the second time in a row, his countryman Alejandro Valverde is second, the young Pole Rafal Mjka finishes third.
