Tour de France 2023 Route stage 18: Moûtiers – Bourg-en-Bresse

Tour de France 2023Thursday 20 July - Stage 18 of the Tour de France is a flat to lumpy race of 186 kilometres between Moûtiers and Bourg-en-Bresse. The last uphill test, Côte de Revonnas, is crested inside the last 12 kilometres, but it's not expected to thwart a bunch spint

The Côte de Revonnas is just 2 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 3.2%. Whic is approximately as demanding as the preceding climbs. The Côte du Tunnel du Chat and Côte de Contrevoz appear areound the midway marker, so the sprint teams should be able to control the race.

Bourg-en-Bresse saw two Tour de France stage finishes in its history. On both occassions it was a fast finisher who took the spoils – Thor Hushovd in 2002 and Tom Boonen in 2007.
